Music Guidelines

Directors please take a few moments to look over these music guidelines….

1.)    Sound Checks – MEPA will allow sound checks before the contest the entire season.  We will be limiting sound checks during contest breaks to the first 2 weekends of the season.  We will have headphones so directors can hear the speed of their music at breaks.

2.)   The sound engineer will start and stop a CD, but will not make adjustments at certain points in the show.  MEPA and the sound engineer do not want to be responsible for your show.

3.)   If you bring an iPod or other MP3 player – a member of your staff must push start and stop.  The MEPA sound engineer will not.

4.)   Volume cannot go above 80dbs or lower if the chief judge indicates the level is too loud.

5.)   Have your music in CD as well as MP3 form.

6.)   Label your CD with the unit name and unit class.
