Board Bios
MEPA President Tim Parker
Tim is starting his 2nd term as MEPA Board President. He has also worked with Kettering Fairmont HS Percussion Ensembles and Versailles, Marion and Glen Este High Schools. He is a wind and percussion arranger for bands throughout the nation and currently lives in Lakewood Ranch, Florida with his wife, Cassie.
MEPA Vice President of Color Guard Cliff Gray
Cliff starts his first term as the Vice President of Color Guard this year after previously serving on the board as Color Guard Representative. He is currently the Director for both the New Alliance Winter Guard and the Springboro High School Guard. Cliff also teaches the University of Dayton Marching Band and choreographs for West Carrollton High School. Residing in Centerville, Cliff has taught Lebanon High School and marched with Beavercreek HS Dimension Winter Guard, Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard and Onyx Winter Guard.
MEPA Vice President of Percussion Mike Maegly
Mike is the Director of Kings HS Drum Line. He has been a Percussion Representative on the MEPA Board since 2005. Mike has arranged for Lebanon HS, Clinton Massie and Loveland High Schools in the past. He is employed as the Assistant Band Director/Percussion Director for Kings Local Schools. Mike lives in Maineville, OH with his wife, Jennifer, who is the Color Guard Director for Kings HS.
MEPA Director of Education Lynsey Tyson
Lynsey has been on the MEPA Board for many years, as a Color Guard Representative and as MEPA Secretary. She is now starting her 6th year on the board as Director of Education. She is an instructor for the Miamisburg Jr High Guard and Elementary Sweetheart Guard. Lynsey is also the Assistant Director for Zydeco Color Guard and has worked with Kettering Fairmont HS, Bellbrook HS and Miamisburg HS in the past. She has performed with Miamisburg HS, Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard and the Broadway show BLAST! Lynsey currently lives in Miamisburg, OH with her husband, Brian and is a stay at home mom to Maura & Jorja.
MEPA Secretary Julie Baldwin
Julie is in her second year serving on the MEPA board, with her first year spent as a Color Guard Representative. In addition to serving on the MEPA board, she is also the 2012 MEPA Administrative Assistant and serves as a contest administrator. She is an English and Journalism teacher in Springfield, Ohio and was the director of Tippecanoe High School Color Guard. As a performer, Julie was a member of the Northmont High School color guard from 1990-1994. She resides in Tipp City, Ohio with her son and daughter, who is also a member of the Tipp guard and the Devilaires dance team.
MEPA Color Guard Representative Jay Huff
Jay is currently the Guard Director at West Carrollton, Assistant Director of New Alliance Winter Guard and consults for Franklin & Springboro Guards. Jay is starting his 2nd year as a Color Guard Representative and is employed at PNC Bank as a Systems Analyst. He has also designed for Lebanon Winter Guard in the past. Jay has performed with Miamisburg HS and Steele City Ambassadors D&B Corps. He currently lives in Centerville, OH with his partner and daughter, Savannah.
MEPA Color Guard Representative Sheldon Apo
Sheldon is currently the Guard Director for Bellbrook HS and is an instructor/choreographer for Centerville HS, Zydeco Color Guard, West Bloomfield HS (MI) and NAPA (England). Sheldon spent this past summer on tour with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps as a Guard Technician. He has also worked with Miamisburg HS, Carroll HS and The Senators Drum and Bugle Corps. Sheldon was a performer with Bellevue East HS, The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard. He joins the MEPA Board this year as a Color Guard Representative. Sheldon is employed at Champps Americana and lives in Centerville, OH.

MEPA Percussion Representative David K. Wyrick
David is currently in his third year serving on the MEPA Board as Percussion Representative. He is the Visual Designer/Caption Head for Kings Winter Drum Line and the Visual Designer for Kettering Fairmont and Clinton Massie Winter Drum Lines. Programs David has worked with in the past are Central Crossing, Elements, Mason, Thomas Worthington, Lebanon, Clinton Massie, Tri-Valley, and River View Drum Lines. He also writes and consults with various Winter Drumlines and Winter Guards throughout Ohio and other states. He spends the rest of his year being the drill designer for various Marching Bands in Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, and Hawaii. David currently lives in Lebanon, OH and is a self-employed show designer and consultant.
MEPA Percussion Representative Mike Procyk
Mike joins the MEPA Board this year as a Percussion Representative. He currently is the Assistant Band Director and Head Percussion Instructor for the Arcadia HS Marching Band and is the Director of the Arcadia Indoor Drumline. Mike has also worked with Delta, Springfield (Toledo), Elida, St. John’s and Tiffin-Columbian High Schools. He was a performer and percussion section leader for the BGSU Falcon Marching Band and while at BGSU performed with the University Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Combos, Athletic Band, BG Community Orchestra, The Black Swamp Theater and the Men’s Chorus. Mike is a native of Garfield Heights and currently lives in Bowling Green, OH with his wife, Lisa.
MEPA Percussion Representative James Fantine
James joins the MEPA board this year as a percussion representative. He attended the University of Toledo where he studied Music Performance and Education and served as the drum major in the marching band for three years. James has been the percussion instructor at Thomas Worthington High School in Worthington, Ohio for the past five years and has previously worked with Canal Winchester High School, Eastwood High School, Maumee High School and St. John's Jesuit High School. He works as a Thermal Process Technologist at Mars Petcare and has also served in the United States Coast Guard. He resides in Pickerington, Ohio with his wife Tiffany and their two children, Mikayla and Tanyan.
